Call for Participation / Ideas for Case Studies

I’m currently compiling a long-list of UK projects to use as case studies of how socially motivated architecture projects are initiated. I’m really interested in examples of designers and communities getting involved in initiating projects, but also in any social architecture projects which are innovative in terms of their development, procurement or approach to addressing social needs.

If you’d like to take part in the research, or if you would like to suggest a possible project or participant to be included in the study, please get in touch – details on the ‘contact’ page.

‘Initiating Architecture’ is a research project exploring the how and why of architectural projects with social or public interest motivations. While the research topic continues to evolve, a driving aim of the research is to explore actions of initiating in architecture projects as a window into the architect’s role in processes of social change.
